Mispoes!

Mispoes! is a playful reminder of the English idiom ‘a game of cat and mouse’.

This charming watch design was created by Belgian Artist Kaat Deceuninck.

Mispoes! in Dutch means literally “you missed, cat!” and is a phrase used when someone misses a catch or throwing something at the bin.

The cat and mouse are locked in an endless pursuit, with the cat never quite fast enough to trap the mouse - mispoes!

Like the game, time often feels elusive: we can get caught up in a cycle of trying to catch up on lost time, instead of enjoying the moment.

How to read the time

The time is cleverly integrated within the design:

• To find the hour, you'll need to check the position of the cat’s paw
• The position of the mouse shows you the minutes.
